We are looking for adaptive person knowing databases & SQL well. This person would join a data warehousing team of our customer. Her responsibilities would be to create bridging capability within data warehouse, to enable logical and physical data to be mapped for the specific purposes of various external BI & analytical processes. This mapping process contains both direct data mappings plus relational logic to perform various transitions & deductions of varying complexity. Overall, the person needs to understand the semantics and constraints of the data, requirements of the analytics tools, performance limitations and business targets of the process. Additionally she needs to be able to learn various business, finance and logistics concepts unique to the industry and customer organization.

Any former ETL, data-warehousing or BI work is a major bonus for the candidate.

Knowledge of MS SQL and .NET/VBA development skills can be considered as a medium bonus for the candidate.

Any former experience with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teradata would be a very major bonus for the candidate. If you do not have experience with Teradata, you need to be able to learn it (to the relevant degree) on-the-fly. Assistance from experienced developers knowing the platform and tools is available and some of them will be doing similar tasks within the same overall program.

Work would be starting during Q1 2009. Exact start-up time will depend on your availability, but earlier is always better. Work location is in Espoo.
