Re: how i can studying veterinary in finland?
By competing in the entrance examination with all those animal-loving girls who have full points from their matriculation exam and whose school papers have a big 10+ in them.
Re: how i can studying veterinary in finland?
As far as I know, there is only one place where you can study that (Helsinki) and the study is in Finish.
So make sure you speak (fluent) Finish, improve your English significantly and then apply for the entrance test.

Re: how i can studying veterinary in finland?
Yep this is the only option...

Having a relative in Finland does not really help you much at all when it comes to getting admitted. You need to apply yourself, you need to pass the entrance exam yourself, and so on. And as was already mentioned you'd need to know Finnish fluently since it's not possible to do your degree in English in veterinary medicine.
Well perhaps your cousin can make you some coffee when you sweat over the entrance exam material (only in Finnish and Swedish)...
It's very, very difficult to be admitted. Even the "native" applicants have about 10% chance of being selected, according to the stats. So you do need to ask yourself - is that a realistic goal? I mean, studying veterinary medicine as such is a worthy goal, but studying in Finland (with no language skills) could be -shall we say- an impossibility.

Re: how i can studying veterinary in finland?
Lets say that if you can learn Finnish and pass the entrance exam better than 90 % of other applicants. No, but if you can learn finnish _and_ can pass the entrance exam then they will accept you.
Re: how i can studying veterinary in finland?
Yep, extremely difficult to get in. A high school friend of mine, 10+ girl, full points from long math, got in after 2-3 failed attempts. She studied physics or something in the mean time. 2-3 years wasted, so to speak, but she was determined.

It might take you 5-6 years and only if you speak it daily with Finns.
But as I look at your English skills, I have the impression that you are not a language miracle.
So I would say; mission impossible.
Re: how i can studying veterinary in finland?
ok ... i see thanks ...
Re: how i can studying veterinary in finland?
from distant land comes a voice of a man with a hope.
"hi i m sinan i want study vererinary in finland..... i have cusin in finland he live in finland ."
bystanders rush to give him a penny for his thoughts and .......
"By competing in the entrance examination ...."
"As far as I know, there is only one place where you can study that (Helsinki) and the study is in Finish.
So make sure you speak (fluent) Finish, improve your English significantly and then apply for the entrance test."
soon, reality surfaces...
"It's very, very difficult to be admitted. Even the "native" applicants have about 10% chance of being selected, according to the stats."
the man still sees a small ray of hope...
"how i can learn finnish?"
another bystander speaks...

then, another judges his situation and declares..
"as I look at your English skills, I have the impression that you are not a language miracle.
So I would say; mission impossible."
hope is crushed
"ok ... i see thanks ..."
The End (perhaps!?)

Re: how i can studying veterinary in finland?
Hello
I am an Indian. I am coming to Finland for about 60 to 70 days (May -July 2009). I am coming here to do an internship under a professor at University of Turku. Now thing is that he (Prof.) is not going to pay me anything. So I am supposed to arrange everything for the same. can anyone help me regarding :
1. Where to stay so that its cheapest and how many (Euros) will it cost me.
2. how much money (Euros) I need to fulfill my day to day needs like food etc.
3. As I am not from a very rich family, I want to earn while I stay there with these things with me
> I don't know Finnish, I know English and our native Hindi.
> I am not graduated I am in my third year of engineering (Electronics)
> I know many programming languages and I have been teaching Physics here(India) as part time to High School Students.
> I have been never to any other country before
So anybody simply tell me can I find a job here for this much short period?
How much I may get?
and How to apply ?
I know its too early but I just want be on the safe side.

Re: how i can studying veterinary in finland?
Learning Finnish is not easy at all,you need to live here several years and study it hard then maybe you can speak it enough to study in that language, after all i think its also impossible for you to study in English,as far as i see you are not so good at it,so better to stay in Turkey and study there.Anyways if some miracles happen and you get some chance to study here then getting student visa would be easier for you as your brother is living in here.sinan1093 wrote:i know my english is bad but .. i know again veterinary faculty just in helsinki and just finish. how i can learn finnish?
