You need a degree? In what exactly? Having worked at Sydney airport chucking bags I can't say it's really mentally challenging.

Degree from Upper Secondary / vocational school means the school leavers certificate / matriculation exam which is taken at approx 19 yrs. It is not the same as a university/polytechnic degree.

Neither is cleaning, but if you want/need a job it's good to get something lasting.
Appreciate that the guy's posting the info.

The work can be very stressful at times. It is good if somebody can think clearly instead of doing routines blindly.
Secondary school/vocational school level proves you're not a nitwit. Otherwise you're stuck with someone of the 9th (10th) grade of the elementary school. Which is in my opinion means (s)he cannot be left unsupervised.

I actually wondered the same thing myself, also the army requirement is a bit odd to me as well.
When i started working there the requirements weren't so strict, however we have had a number of furriners who haven't been so good so maybe they are trying to aim higher.
Yeah it is menial labour at first but if you have a good head on your shoulders you can progress. I am now a loadmaster for my employer and have pushback, jet bridge and high loader driving abilities as well. This month i got paid a smidgen under -deleted to prevent spammers from getting interested- , which isn't too shabby if i do say so myself. The work may be dirty but we get paid better than most blue collar slobs!
Oh yeah, haku ends December 31st.
Cheers, Pete.

Army* requirement is understandable, you cannot fire someone who is going to army and if you make permanent contract you want to be sure employee wont dissappear to army for year. And if you have some more education that basic school you probably arent total nutcase.

*Army means you are free from compulsory service either already did army/civil service/jail or got c or d papers.
