drink at O'Malley's in Vaasa (opposite Radisson SAS Hotel), starting at 8pm, on 26th January (yes a Monday). Look for the Aussie flag stuck in a beer bottle.Last year there was 5 of us, and three turned up in Billabong shirts....
NB: Australia Day commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet to Australia on 26th January 1788. This day is also called Invasion Day and is considered a day of mourning by many Indigenous Australians. For those of us in Vaasa, we have chosen the day to collect any Australians that have gone missing after Christmas, in the darkness of the Finnish winter. Anyway, none of us seem to have any time during warmer months to meet for a beer.
