Kalevala Day

Post by Cloudberry » Fri Feb 26, 2010 6:12 pm

Just wondering if it anyone is aware of any events taking place on Kalevala Day which is celebrated on 28th February? I checked out the Ateneum and the local libraries (in Helsinki) but couldn't see anything going on. I thought maybe there would be some exhibition of Kalevala art, readings of Kalevala or even theatre...

This year it is not just one day, the whole year is named Kalevalan juhlavuosi (175 years from the first book), and there are happenings all through the year.
