Hey, the wife came up with an idea to have have Vappu brunch somewhere this coming Vappu and I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions of where to go in the Helsinki area?

Cafe Esplanade is a nice little cafe in Helsinki but usually very busy as are most of the cafes in the area, especially if it's a nice day.
How about organising a picnic in one of the parks?

I was just going to suggest that also, a picnic in the park.
Have been going to Kaivopuisto (spelling?) for the last few years and love it. There are lots of people and yet somehow you always find a place where you can put out a nice blanket and enjoy life and a picnic. I highly recommend it. Bring fresh bread and a bottle of roséwine and hope that the weather is good

That's not a bad suggestion but with this weather it's not so tempting. We found a place downtown to go to and we'll see if it's worth it
