Talkkuna

Post by jtammilehto » Sun May 23, 2010 11:09 am

Anyone tried any non-traditional uses for Talkkuna - jokes aside. - ?

I am used Laihian Mallas' version - added egg and baking powder and about 1/4 wheat flour

And tried waffles - didn't work - waffle split in unit - so clearly not enough internal cohesion.

Tasted some bits that had a bit of crust - and could have possibilities - but was very 'tender'

'Pancakes obviously a possible next try - but not today anymore.

Was just wondering if any other 'kitchen lab' folks out there.

My granny made something like pancakes out of it... might be the perunarieska mentioned here http://www.talkkuna.fi/reseptit.htm
