Are you looking for a two-year masters degree course in Finland?

Or just ideas for something to study in the USA before you come here?

AFAIK there are no two-year masters degree courses in Finland, at least not any that could follow on from a Bachelors from the USA. And most masters degree courses are academic rather than vocational.

Off the top of my head I can't think of any masters degree which would guarantee you a job in Finland. Chinese maybe? As long as you speak Finnish as well.

I reckon the best chance of a 2 year masters leading to a job would be something like this:

http://www.metropolia.fi/en/degree-prog ... n-english/

Where the student focused heavily on any Java courses available.

I am in the same situation like you, having a bachelors degree from my country but my finnish language skills is limiting my chances of securing a job in Finland, i am now taking a plan B by changing my profession and doing something vocational or practical, i decided taking a 2 years course in practical nursng. I think those areas can land you a career which is in demand here in Finland and overseas, you can also think about doing something in social services.

It's really difficult to predict what the employment market will be like in the future. I think nursing is a good choice (shortage of male nurses in FInland, plus it is a qualification that can take you anywhere in the world). Also plumbing (big shortage of plumbers and also electricians).... environmental engineering etc
