hi.
tina zinuo...Welcome to ...I have been to China several times both Beijing and Shanghai.
In Beijing there are quiet a lot of Finns, mainly with Nokia, but also with other Finnish companies.
The last time I was there is over two years ago..but I dont think much has changed since then. If you know the area of Beijing between Silk Street market and the world trade center ..take a walk from one towards the other and approx half way, in a tree lined avenue, you will find the unofficial Finns Social club..It is a Bar/Restaurant called the "Mexican Wave"..it is Tex Mex style place, but they sell Lapin Kulta Finnish Beer. At this time of the year it also has nice out side terrace.
You will find lots of Finns there every evening.

Thank you PeterF, I probably will go there- Mexican Wave. Welcome to China again. It has probably changed since two years ago. After all, because of the Olympic 2008. More buildings or such things. Who knows...
Thanks Make, BAT and Ace, for your welcome.
Best regards to all of you!

Extract follows..
Jian Guo Men Wai and Ri Tan Area--From fast food to fine dining, this area has it all. Naturally, you will find the standard Pizza Hut, McDonald's and Starbucks franchises. For those who want more variety, Mexican Wave, is an expat favorite, serves decent Tex-Mex.
