How much does a Finnish intern get paid in Finland?

Post by Martin1990 » Thu Sep 22, 2011 3:27 pm

Hi all, i'm conducting a research for my study, and one of the questions of it is how much a intern (from Finland, not a foreigner) will receive for an internship in Finland. I understand some internships don't pay at all in Finland. So if a company wants to hire an intern, how much should they pay them per month? Please provide some sources with a useable answer otherwise i won't be able to use it :)
I'm asking this because there really isn't any good information on Internet regarding this.
Best regards,
a 4th year business student from the Netherlands.

Thanks for those reactions, helped me out a lot already! 1000 euro a month sure is a lot, interns in Netherlands/Germany only get about 500-600 a month normally

Probably depends a lot of the field. Heavily unionized fields won't look for long 1000e salaries. Collective agreements might have set percentages for trainee wages.
