How long wait for Resident Permit?

how much taking time in family ties after fill the application OLE PH_2 FROM TO INDIA, Finland embassy new Delhi, kept my passport with application its passed 2 month, how much more time for decision.. is they need interview with me and my cohabitation partner ,, actually we have child 8 month old,, my partner and child both are in Finland they both have finish citizenship . i am in India ..my name is register on my son,s birth certificate, every thing clear in this case..
help me friend,s i want to meet my partner and son..

I doubt anybody can give you a good answer for that. Maybe you get good news next week, maybe you need to wait for several months more. Current average processing time at Migri (after they got the papers form embassy) is for a "spouse of a Finnish citizen" 140 days. Maybe they expedite because of the child involved, maybe not. Even the "guardian of a Finnish citizen" (which you're not) has a an average waiting time of 88 days.

I take you decided to wait because you wanted your wife and child get citizenship first. Maybe you had no choice because of the income requirement, otherwise that probably wasn't a smart move.

It takes maximum period of 6 months for them to decide. I my self a imigrants and married to a finnish guy with 2 child as well and we get our residence permit after 5 months, You need more patience to this and i understand how you feel to be far to your family.But you will get it soon for sure!

As here stated, it really can be quite a hassle.
I will see if I can call there and get some definite answears considering the time needed. Will inform in a couple of days.

What I understood of the process is, that it will be the normal time, what here is stated. No shortcuts possible. Hopefully it works out fine in the end!

Can take anywhere from 6 to 7 months or even longer in some cases. You just have to wait, what's the rush? Work, save money and plan your course of action.

i got a letter at my home in india from to Finland register office .. they told me that they register my name in finland and give me personal identity code .. they ask if i need any change about my name adress and more information.. i sent reply .. so please tell me my visa permanent visa in process ..and i think name register will after my vist in finland .. why they register my name before my vist is this thing will help me in visa ..

I don't understand your question. Try asking it again, but this time be more understandable.

If they have put a record of you into the population register and also given you an identity number I would say that things are going along smoothly.

i thought the name will register after my visa ..and my question is ----- now i have identity code .. are they starting my visa processing or personal identity is another thing? and have kela attached with Finland embassy ?

It remains still completely unclear.
Talk to the embassy, they might understand you better.

"Personal identity" or Finnish ID is something you get once you register yoruself at maistratti. For that, one needs to be physically present in Finland-well at least that's been my understanding so far. Perhaps you have been issued a residence permit or in the process of being issued. If you have already got Finnish ID, I am sure that your permit decision will be affirmative. You will just have to wait for sometime. Just my thought!

yesterday my wife called in migri.com on phone .. my wife was asking him about my visa processing they told to my wife it will take 1 year and half and more then ..2 year because i applied application for residence in Finland in 9th February 2012 so they will take long time even they never saw my application they said its taking time to pick your file.. why they doing like this even they now that we have 8 month old baby its very difficult to leave alone for my wife, without me in Finland..
as a human being i am a father of my son and i want to see my child,s childhood. because every father wants play with child..
i am very upset to hear this today
