Sending belongings from London to Helsinki

What's the cheapest way to send my stuff from London to Helsinki and how long does it normally take to arrive?

Hmmm... I guess you need to define "stuff" and how much of it... like is it just an extra suitcase or are you including the kitchen sink...

Hi, thank you for the clarification.
Stuff= Personal belongings such as clothes, bedlinen, towels, large rug, few books & uni-notes. Total of 6 large boxes of 80cmx80cm, weight varies but total is not heavier than 100kg. Was actually requesting names of trustful and affordable companies used by experienced travellers...

I have the same question, having just been in K Rauta and seen the price of power tools.

I'd like to ship 350 kg or so of personal goods over when I formally register here including my old moto guzzi.

We used http://www.postagesupermarket.com when moving our boxes to Helsinki from the UK, its cheaper than going direct to DHL/Parcelforce etc... they will pick up from an address in the UK, all our boxes were delivered with 4 to 5 days, were trackable and in good condition when they arrived.

Pariah, I don't have my search working atm, but theres a bloke here posting in these threads who has a lorry in his avatar who works for a company doing haulage UK-Fin. look for some older transport threads.

The idea sounded a bit half-baked at the time, no idea if he ever actually started offering a service.

No idea on price though. I only know that the cost of shipping a car as cargo has rocketed in the last decade.

Hi, I ended up on this thread because I need to ship my belongings from Helsinki to the UK (Bristol) somewhere late autumn this year. Don't know if it helps, but I got a quote for shipping 25 moving boxes from door to door from Movecorp.co.uk for £460.00 exl VAT. I've looked into lots of options (also non-door-to-door, bringing it to and collecting it from e.g. a terminal) and this seems the best so far. I was thinking about shipping some furniture too but I might have to abandon this plan because it seems to be much more expensive.
However, I'm very interested in Zeterpilot's transport options, so here a message to Zeterpilot: If you read this could you PM me? I can't seem to PM you (yet), because I'm a new user.
