Buying from jimms.fi

Post by dimitri_can » Wed Mar 20, 2013 6:14 pm

Hi,

Am from overseas and am getting a birthday present for a friend in Turku.
Anyone bought from jimms.fi before?

How's the service? Good, bad?

How would my friend do the collection for the item?
Will it be sent to him or...?

The item is either posted or couriered by matkahuolto.
Service has been good, I've gotten only automated emails and delivery informations before I've had the package in my hand. That is the way I like it :)

One of my kids bought his PC in bits from Jimm's. I can't remember if it was delivered or if we picked it up (Arabianranta, Helsinki) but we didn't have any problems.

So is it better to pick it up from the post office?

Depends. I, once again, missed the giftee was in Turku, so there is the option to pick it directly from Jimms. You probably save a day and few euros if you pick it up from the store, but if it is hassle to get there, then the local post office might be better choice.

Compare the location of the store to nearest post and make a choice.
