Russian travels to bank to pay application fees.

You should be happy that you have possibility to come here. By history all russians should be shot in border.

Re: Who said the russians get the same treatment
You said you were russian in your original post.
Why you didnt use your country embassy and how could you use russian when youre not russian?

FloydFin wrote:So why are you complaining? The procedures you mentioned are quite normal. I don't really see any problem in them. If a person is applying for a permit, it's normal to travel to the capital and spend time and money there.cors187 wrote: Im not russian onkko , im from a better country than all euro countries.
Normal?
When i sent my details through everything went via email , i didnt loose 1 hr of work time. All payments online.
When i got my residence permit card in the mail i just booked a flight to finland and started working on the monday.
What migri.fi does to russians is abnormal in an electronic world.
Floyd your country must be bog.

Are you worried you shot an Allie at the border?onkko wrote:You said you were russian in your original post.

Re: Who said the russians get the same treatment
the point is that (migri.ru) could make it simpler for them and easier for future residents.FloydFin wrote:You're whole post is trying to depict as if Russians in particular are treated in a bad way, which is in not true. If you had an easy time with your application then good for you but the reality is a person from Russia or any other country applying for a permit has to attend in person to the embassy in question to submit their fingerprints and verify their identity.
3hr desk,no appointment available, travel 1000km+ = not the same treatment migri gave me as a foreigner.
the thread is not a comparison for other backwater nations.

Why? Finland does not exist for the benefit of foreign nationals who want to move into the country (actually I am not sure of that anymore with all the pampering). Russians, by your description, are expected to follow more or less the same procedures as others wishing to immigrate to Finland from comparable countries.cors187 wrote: the point is that (migri.ru) could make it simpler for them and easier for future residents.

Regardless though , Finland exists because Russia made it possible, lol

All finnish residents (born here or not) are registered by biometric fingerprints in the new passports.. nothing unusual there even though the mere existence of such registery annoys the !"#¤% out of me.
Anyways, the war of our grandparents is over, and most of us don't really mind about different nationalities around while we live our lifes.. Obviously, Russian citzens are more than welcome here, and we don't discriminate others. The "tensions" between Finland and Russian is nearly non-existent.. Meaning, there are a lot of tourists in and from both sides all around the year.
Personally i have 2 Russian friends who live nearby and there's really nothing between us. However, one should refrain from making such bold and thoughtless statements while being here. You don't walk around the native USA areas either saying that the natives are only allowed to live here because of the current population.
So with a common sense, and English language you can live/travel/survive very easily in Finland.
Lol.. I don't know what they teach in your schools over there, but as we slaughtered each others near the border both sides had heavy losses, thus the Soviets and Finland ended the war. Should it have continued by the hands of Soviets, it would have escalated into a "guerrilla war" with terrorisms and such after the "capture/conquest".cors187 wrote: Regardless though , Finland exists because Russia made it possible, lol
