Teens racing cars at 4am, do you call cops?
The 1,000 traffic circles near our home attract tons of new teens and their !"#¤%, and it gets mighty tiring trying to sleep with them racing and gunning the engines all the time. Do you call 112 or is there another police line for noise like this?
I sleep with a noise machine, have good insulation in the house, and sleep with ear plugs as well. It's CRAZY busy. I sleep the normal schedule too so just AHHHH.
Just wonder what to do if it gets bad. Normally it goes over in 5 minutes but the little !"#¤% did it for almost an hour this morning.
Thanks!
Kat

There used to be dedicated phone number for the police but I think that got decommissioned. I would just call 112. I assume the handler will tell you if it's not worth calling about in the future.

Those speed bumps located at the entry and exits of the round-o-bout seems to damper the racer spirit.
Do your circles have any?Can you google maps link the area?Im curious to what gathers the locals!

Thanks! I am wishing one of the other neighbors would call but who knows, it took 5 years of drunk screaming teenagers before anyone called on the local parties :/ Hubby thinks I'm weird wanting to call lol.betelgeuse wrote:There used to be dedicated phone number for the police but I think that got decommissioned. Figures Vantaa is cheap and doesn't have speed bumps out in the boonies..surprise surprise lol. I wish they'd put some in, with all the construction and trucks I wonder if it'd be impossible?cors187 wrote:Those speed bumps located at the entry and exits of the round-o-bout seems to damper the racer spirit.

It's a SUPER curvy road and I think the kids like that?? We hung out in the Walmart parking lot as teenagers lol.
Thanks!

The bunny rabbit round-a-bouts in sippo have the raised entry and exits, very annoying.
If your out that way sometime, they work for trucks and everything.

Rather than complain you could submit evidence suggesting that the raised entries/exit system has reduced racer problems in other areas and suggest the need for the newer designs. And you could also attempt to contact a road safety consulting firm and link them the evidence, its like money in their bank.

Guess where the coppers call when they need ambulance or fire brigade? Or ambulance when they need cops or firemen? You will probably guess where the firemen call if they need cops? 112 is the number. <- note the punctuation. And the news how people call with too little reason to 112... I wonder why?ilikepeanutbutter wrote:Do you call 112 or is there another police line for noise like this?

Since you're not able to sleep anyway, why not go out and throw a few bricks at the offenders when they drive by? They will call the cops for you!

Pour your old engine oil all over the road surface in said area. Then hit them with baseball bats after they've fallen over! This is what Finns do for excitement, drive their tatty illegal mopeds round the (cheap&nasty) hamburger kiosks at night, revving up because they are so macho don'tchaknow? Potato farmers' brats. Pathetic.
