Hi everyone,
I just moved in with my spouse to Helsinki and I am looking for a study place. I have applied for the Vocational qualification in business and administration in Helsinki Business college but they rejected my application because I have had higher education before in my home country (I was so stupid to mentioned about that in my letter of motivation, but well, just being honest). I was in the first year of international business in a UAS but I dont think that I want to spend 4 years or so for university so I am now would like to ask if anyone know somewhere like college, or vocational school... that offer courses in English, please give me an suggestion. My preferences are business, cooking (I know Perho school but the application period for this year had ended), and health care. If there is any posibility to study a short course about those things is good as well. I just want to study something besides learning Finnish language.
Thank you so much for reading and looking forward to your replies.

Thanks for you reply. Qualification thatI got in my country - Vietnam, doesnt help at all, and doesnt mean anything in Europe for sure. That's why i still need to study sonething here and yes I would like to study what more real for example cooking, or nursing, which with it I can find a job after graduted, not those Business things. I have known the webpage and did try it but I can find anything. I mean i would like to find a study place which Is just like vocational school, or private school, and of course I can pay for tuition.tummansininen wrote:C'mon. You already have a qualification. How would it help you find work by studying something lower, in English? This is Finland. People here speak Finnish.
If you just want to change fields, fair enough. You've missed the applications for most, but this might help. http://www.studyinfinland.fi/what_to_st ... s_database

It is not easy to get in Perho since they only accept 10 international students(in and outside Finland) for the English program each year, since I am studying here in finnish and we all got that info here. This year had 140 applications and also with your higher education you cannot get into anyways and also without finnish you hard to get into culinary industry in finland tbh. And they require also restaurant working experiences

Or try to apply to varia and trust me studying cooking school costs a lot =D about min 500e for clothes and knives, mine costed 600e for knives, 350e for cook clothes, 200e for waiter clothes and shoes so about 1150e in first 3 months studying and also 80e for books since perho has their ownbooks
