Re: non eu spouse
So you basically want us to do all your "work" for you.
Don't be so lazy. Go through these threads. The answers to all your questions are in them.
Good luck.

Ahhhh, come on, no need to be quite so abrupt...... we've all asked a few dodgy questions now and again. Some people genuinely don't realise how much info they can access via internet etc, and sure what's the harm? If it's easy enough to tell over this forum......
To the OP - if we know more about the situation we can help more easily. For example if your partner is coming here to work or study and has a job offer or study place, then you get a residence permit as a family member, but the spouse will have to show that they can support you. If (as I suspect) you all just want to move to Finland for what you think will be a better life, it won't be so easy. Your spouse as an EU citizen can be an "indefinite" tourist, but until he/she is registered then they cannot register you.

Thank you for your feedback
I wanted to know if my eu citizen partner, finds a job in finland will I still have to show sufficient fund, if yes how much will I need? to apply for a residence permit and how much my partner will need to earn? Does job seekers also play a part in sufficient funds amount for a residence permit?
Thank you for any information

It would be perfectly legal to come up here with a plan that includes the EU citizen working and the OP collecting Kela money.tummansininen wrote:You asked about job seekers and I think you mean unemployment money! But NO... to live here legally, you must show Finland that you have your OWN means of support. Proof that you three will support yourselves. You cannot come here and tell the police you plan to get unemployment benefits - because none of you will get any benefits from Kela (social security). Zero. Kela is for Finnish citizens and for people paying tax to Finland. Not to people who think it looks nice here and want to move here. Did you really think anyone in the EU can come here and get free money?![]()

There's no labor market testing for family members of Union citizens.tummansininen wrote: #4 is the safest but unless he is a rocket surgeon it will probably not happen, it's very very had to find work here without Finnish unless you have an amazing and rare skill. And for you, it's even harder, because nobody in Finland can employ you unless they can prove nobody in the entire EU could do your job...
If you both arrive here, you won't apply for a residence permit. You will register right of residence and you can get a residence card based on that.bella1890 wrote:Hi im a non eu spouse married for 3years to a eu citizen,we have a 3year old daughter who is a eu citizen and currently living in the non eu counrty, I would like to know how it is to apply for a residence permit and what are the requirement for this?

My post did not reference a situation where both plan to survive off Kela and your friends are not your family members.tummansininen wrote:If the family has no job and no means of support, the police will not smile and tell you that planning to survive off Kela is fine and then issue you permits to stay.betelgeuse wrote: It would be perfectly legal to come up here with a plan that includes the EU citizen working and the OP collecting Kela money. If this is true let me know, I will import all my friends from Australia, they can just show up and ask for free money.
No. As a family member of an EU citizen they have the same under three month rights to search for work and start working. The only problem would be entering the country if a visa is needed.tummansininen wrote:They are outside the EU at present and she is not an EU citizen. Surely the right to work as a family member only kicks in once you have residence here? Which requires either him working or them having a lot of savings?betelgeuse wrote: There's no labor market testing for family members of Union citizens.
