I have an old compaq deskpro for sale. It is a quite small desktop computer, with the following specs:
- Pentium 3 @ 600 Mhz
- 192 MB of RAM
- 10GB hard disk
- ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP graphics card
- 2 Network cards (100 Mbps)
- USB ports
- Internal modem
As you can see from the specs, it is not exactly a speed demon
. Anyways, it is small and makes little noise, and it is more than enough for reading email and browsing the web. It also makes a very nice home server/firewall (which is what I used it for). I bought it from a second hand shop about 6 months ago and it has been reliably running 24/7 since then, without any problems.Here is a photo of what it looks like (not my photo, but mine looks exactly like this one):
It comes with Linux installed, but of course you can install your favorite Windows version on it.
