I was just sent a link to a website http://www.homesick.com.au/default.asp which is far more mature than the get-drunk-at-Octoberfest type sites for Aussies abroad and with a lot more useful info too.
The food ordering is a lot cheaper than many others I have seen or used and books, CDs etc are also available (check out regional differences on DVDs though).
Best of all is ipostman which sends proper letters and postcards to your old folks and others who don't have internet connections from Australia using Australian posting times. Now I don't have any excuse for not keeping in touch. Damn.
