RP for dependent mother.

Hi,
I will be moving to Finland with my wife and kid, based on Residence Permit received.
I have a dependent, senior citizen mother. I want to ask if she is also eligible to get Residence Permit to stay along with us. Tourist visa is only for 90 days, I want her to live with us as long as we are staying so basically dependent residence permit may help.

No, unfortunately your dependent mother would not be granted a residence permit. There have been many cases in the news over the years and none of the decisions were in favour of the dependent parent. Finland has a narrow definition of who is family for residence permit purposes. Spouse, registered partner, or children only.
