Hei!
suomenkieliset, osaatteko neuvoa, milloin vastataan kysymyksiin myönteisesti "kyllä", milloin "joo"? Onko mitään sääntöä?
Esim.
-Puhutko suomea?
- Joo. (väärin varmaan??)
Kyllä vai joo?

Re: Kyllä vai joo?
Is it that simple? I agree that joo isn't kirjakieli, but don't people use kyllä often in speech? For a more definitive or affirmative "yes".

Re: Kyllä vai joo?
Yeah/yes. I wouldn't say that the switch from colloquial to formal speech happens often. But it can be used to emphasize the yes.SecretCode wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 11:03 amIs it that simple? On muitakin vaihtoehtoja, esim:
Puhutko suomea?
- Puhun.
- Niin.
- Joo.
- Kyllä.
(Kaikki oikein, joo on puhekieltä, kuten mainittu.)

I can also confirm that it can be often used more as a form of emphasis.
Kyllä, niin on.
Kyllä, tietysti voisin.., jne
Other than that, I don't think there is a clear difference between kyllä and joo - rather than the fact that one is more colloquial than the other.
