Nobody seems to be using fly screens here. Do they have any secret to keep those nasty creatures out while the window or door is open?? Can I cover my entire balcony with white window screens? (apartment)
PS: don't want glazed window like my neighbors'. need air.
Insects!!
Re: Insects!!
I was wondering too if they simply block the way in or they actually do something !

are they getting in your vag?
Re: Insects!!
Lasitettu parveke is a great invention, if you put a heater in it you can use it as an extra room during the autumn and part of the winter, and no insect get in. If you need air you can go for a walk or you can partially open it.agroot wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 10:24 pmNobody seems to be using fly screens here. Re: Insects!!
need air inside the apartment occasionally to flush out kitchen smell (not burnt smell anymore but still...). With glazed balcony it'd just feel like another room.
I don't know what to do now except covering the windows and door with screen, but nobody in this area is doing this at all. Are people generally not troubled by insects?? There was more than a dozen around lights until I closed windows.
Re: Insects!!
Well I guess that your way of cooking attracts insects, specially if you need to take care of smells a lot. In my case I can leave the windows open the whole weekend (as it has already accidentally happened) and no insects at all get into the apartment.agroot wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 7:28 pmneed air inside the apartment occasionally to flush out kitchen smell (not burnt smell anymore but still...). I guess insects are attracted by strong smells because probably they associate that with food.
Re: Insects!!
But they didn't come for food. They stay around the lights and ceiling (until I vacuumed them ), and none entered the kitchen or touched the wall with old grease smell.vla wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 9:12 pmWell I guess that your way of cooking attracts insects, specially if you need to take care of smells a lot. Re: Insects!!
Installed it for all windows, seems effective.
Anyway I figured those disgusting insects only show up at night not at day, best to keep windows closed when it's dark.
