Afternoon all
I am totally new here, and only just dipping my feet into the world of considering a move to Finland from the UK, I have worked in IT for 25 years as (desktop support, deskside support, IT Technician) and my wife is a carer in the UK
Anyone have a rough guidline of what carers get paid in Finland ? Currently she drives from one house to another doing care work, so breakfast, lunch and bed calls
Thanks in advance, hoping to learn a lot here over the next few months

There will be a language barrier to many carer jobs. Here's one statistic which says 2150€/month.sbsshadow wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 3:26 pmI am totally new here, and only just dipping my feet into the world of considering a move to Finland from the UK, I have worked in IT for 25 years as (desktop support, deskside support, IT Technician) and my wife is a carer in the UK

Why Finland?
If you are a British citizen, I assume you are aware that Brexit removes your legal right to live and work in Finland.
Do you already have a job offer or are you looking for jobs?
IT R&D is the only larger field in Finland with jobs for people who are not speaking Finnish, IT positions with customer interaction require speaking the language.
She will likely spend the first year unemployed in a language course.

There is free movement at least until the end of 2020 and existing rights will be protected.FinlandGirl wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 4:44 pmIf you are a British citizen, I assume you are aware that Brexit removes your legal right to live and work in Finland.
