Hello ;

I applied for a work permit as a cook , Te -Toimisto partial decision is positive. they asked me for additional information. the original documents that I worked as a cook with me. they asked for my study certificates and possible letters of recommendation. All my cookery and work documents are university approved.
What are my chances of getting a visa?

Looks to me like you are in a sweet spot : 1st stage approval plus request for additional documents which you seem to have as your certificates are all university issued. So comply with the request and breathe easily. Very rare for migri to say no after a yes by TE. Only my opinion.

If you want to apply as a student, the first step is to get a study right then apply to migri

getting accepted to a college and the financial cost of it are in the way

I’m also waiting for the decision from Migri at the moment.
I got the partial decision from TE office in August 2019, only one month after I submitted all the documents.
How can I know the decision from TE office is positive or negative? The processing time of TE was quite quickly, I wonder is that a sign of negative decision?

Besides, I was moved to “In progress“ stage 5 days ago (24/01/2020). Do you have any idea when Migri will make decision on my rp from “In progress” stage? Is the chance that I can get the rp as the chef is high or low?

I have been waiting from July 2019 till now, which makes me so stressed and impatient

Please kindly advise/share your experience with me! Really appreciate!

hello thank you for your message. You can send an e-mail to the office and ask your decision. making an early decision does not mean it will be negative. I have also been waiting for 16 months
