Olympus Camedia C-860L Serial cable has taken leave of absence without permission ( I've lost the b---dy thing), like me it's obsolete but can't download to computer without it, does anybody have , know of, a spare or defunct one laying about or come to it, any idea where I can find same.

You can try to find it on ebay. For example, http://www.ebay.de. If you cannot find it, then check which US model corresponds to this European one, and then you will probably find something on http://www.ebay.com ..
