Online Finnish courses for advanced speakers

Post by RafTor » Fri Apr 10, 2020 9:39 pm

Hi,

I noticed that most, if not all, of the courses have moved online. This means that I am able to take courses that are taught in Turku or Oulu, fe.
Does anyone know of any courses starting after Easter or soon? Would be great to make use of all this extra time. I'm a fluent speaker myself, looking for advanced courses, even if I haven't attended many courses.

(I Edited the title)

Yes, Finnish courses. Thank you for input. I am looking for any kind of courses (online or distance learning) that are geared for advanced speakers.
Remote/ distance courses are new because of the current situation, so they are not likely to be listed in your resource.

Here's an example of course starting in a week: Ylimmän tason suomea (etänä) https://helao.fi/fi/kurssi/53-finnish-c ... 2-c-suomi/ It's in Helsinki, but because is now distant learning anyone living elsewhere in Finland, or even abroad, can now take it.
I would like to find similar courses offered in other cities, as I am not able to attend this one.

It's online. You don't have to "attend" it.

Not sure how to respond here… do you mran to educate me on my English, or you just don't grasp the concept of distant learning?

I'm sorry. The on-line classes I am familiar with don't require that you participate in a class setting (on line) at a certain time and day. Now that I think about it, I realize that a language class would require a different sort of interaction than the classes I am familiar with. I presume that you can't "attend" this particular class on-line because you can't be at your computer on the days and time it is offered.   My bad.

https://www.kesayliopistohki.fi/kurssit ... course=yes

this portal is supposed to have all info about Finnish courses
https://finnishcourses.fi/

there is have only one course suitable for you
https://finnishcourses.fi/courses/tekni ... elena-3-b1

But I would think there will be more courses to be converted to online mode, some summer universities have not even corona-dated their website info.

It is still a few months ahead, and so far the government has not even decided whether or not festivals like Pori Jazz, Savonlinna Opera Festival or Flow Festival will have to be cancelled this summer.

If universities, schools and restaurants will be allowed to open again by then, some summer universities might just proceed normally.

True but I still believe there will be more online learning opportunities. It is also cost-effective...

Corona epidemic will not be over very soon but there will be interesting discussions on which approach Finland will take... but let's not hijack this thread.
