Re: NURSING JAMK or ARCADA?

Hello, I chose JAMK because it's located in smaller town :D

The difference between Uni & UAS mainly is the focus: Uni is more into research, while UAS into practice. From the degree point of view, University and UAS/Polytechnic graduates have the same level, both are Bachelor.
In Finland, when we ...

Re: selecting student or racism in Finland?

Hei guys, thank you for the explanation. I thought, because there's no so-called entrance exam visa, one can: get into schengen area with tourist visa (surely with all required docs) > take the entrance exam > return to home country. How else one can get a short term visa for this purpose? I have ...

Re: selecting student or racism in Finland?

Hei, can you apply for a tourist visa for other schengen countries? It's a bit messy, but if you really want to study here, it's worth the trouble. You can go to Estonia as a tourist and take the ferry to Helsinki for example. I don't know how bad the situation is, but I hope you can still travel to ...

1. Write in proper english & make sure the handwriting is readable ;) It doesnt have to be perfect, but avoid contraction & smileys like i do here :D
2. Be precise & systematic, use short ...

Re: Approximately how long does the exam last?

You're doing the right thing by taking those exams in 2 separate days.
Both tests will take 3 hours, plus 20 minus group discussion.

Re: Student Insurence

If you are from Vietnam, there's one cheap insurance company named Bảo Minh. But since is cheap, it doesn't cover in case you have surgery or some serious illness (http://www.vsaf.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=9932&p=72643&hilit=b%E1%BA%A3o+hi%E1%BB%83m&sid=23e2f66ee235cb318372d4d566f90ead#p72643 ...

Can anyone here please let me know what insurance you bought for your studies?
The one that is recommended by the immigration, Marsh SIP, if I read it right is using reimbursement system. Meaning that we have to pay our medical cost first. Please share your thoughts & experience. Thanks.

Re: What should I revise for english for the entrance exam o

Just took the exam in Vietnam last week. In the English test, there were True/False questions based on an academic article.
