The only computer shop I know in Kotka is AP-Data (http://www.apdata.fi). Don't know how good is it.

You should really try ordering via the net, though, especially if you want something rare like a DFI board. A good place to start is MBnet's price watch: http://www.mbnet.fi/hintaseuranta/ Here's a link to one DFI board: http://www.mbnet.fi/hintaseuranta/tuote.aspx/23123

P.S. suoritin/prosessori=processor and emolevy=motherboard

heikisaaver wrote:hello. im going to Finland, Kotka in a few days and was wondering how many PC-shops there are? it would be perfect if the shops have a webpage and a list of prices and products they sell.
btw i want to buy Sempron64 2800+ (or something) and a good motherboard like DFI s754 NF3 250GB

thnaks ahead
So price is not an issue, just that it is purchased in Kotka?

I would bet that you could find a much better deal in Helsinki... I'd swing by on your way to Kotka, if I were you...

Well depending on where you're coming from, I'd recommend buying OUTSIDE of Finland...almost anywhere in Central Europe is cheaper. :)

And if you are looking for DRAM/DDR chips and memory, I'd recommend buying NOW. If Typhoon Talim is half as big as they are suggesting, and if it takes out Taiwan, the Taiwanese aren't going to be supplying much for a while...

Actually Estonia is more expensive than Finland for computer parts. Now if you are coming from Estonia, right off the harbor is Ruoholahti where is the biggest store http://www.verkkokauppa.com
