Hi everybody,

Im just wondering if anybody knows of a pub in Tampere that would be showing the Ireland vs France game on weds night?

Henry's Bar seem to show a lot of Football, often Premiere matches. It's near the marketplace, opposite Hesburger.

How come no one asks if this is a plug for pubs in Tampere that might be showing the Ireland vs. France game?

Believe me, this is no plug!! I really dont know where I can seee the game. I rang all Irish pubs and more but they dont show it. So I guess I have to settle for Irish radio on the net which is not what I hoped for at all!!

you can get soccer am on saturdays as well and loads of games from the past...

your other choice is come to helsinki

For future reference, I watch most football at O'Connels Irish bar near the station, or at Soho round the corner. They don't normaly have that many international games on though, mostly premiership and sometimes champions league games during the week.

Ah, i had the same problem, in Helsinki. In fact, this game was not broadcasted anywhere

The reason is that pubs and bars usually have license to show the main 4 channels, a few sport channels (Eurosport, Canal+...), etc., but the game was not on any of those channels. So, the sport-bars first displayed Finland-LittleCountry, it was on a public channel, and after that they switched to Eurosport : great ! Tennis all night long

I think that satellite tv at home was needed to see this game, connecting your tv-set to the main channels of France or Ireland. And it should be the same with other qualifications games for the mundial

Errr... it was shown in Molly's, Kaisaniemi - downstairs on t.v. and upstairs on the
big screen - they usually advertise outside the pub when there's an international Irish
match on, they don't often screen other (non-Irish) internationals however unless it's a major
tournament like the World Cup. Molly's have Sky Sports 1 on satellite.
