Hey! Vaasa is relatively trendy. Aparently it keeps up with Stockholm. Then again, I once read that Tokyo was the world's trend setter, but then again, some of that stuff is really weird!Hank W. wrote:helsinki is about 1 - 1,5 years behind Milan.
¨north of helsinki s about - "the year they buy the cheap stuff +2" and then the " odd-colored stuff they sell to the legally blind"
So in any case never mind... the clubwear is bought off eBay anyways ...
A very vain question.

Ah, thats true, it is I think also because you can get the Swedish tv (and people watch it) so Stockholm trends show up faster. Different cities in Finland seem to have a bit of their own fashion, especially the youth seem to have their own trends.
Cheers, Hank W.

Also, it's not that fashion is necessarily ahead of the US, just different.
In many respects I think Finland is way behind - UGG boots hit here way late and so did that awful gold hobo bag thing. But when it comes to things like eyewear, Finland (and the Nordic region in geneal) is much much further ahead.
If you're thinking of the linen scarf with either the red or black checks I heard somewhere that it shows sympathy with the palestinian cause- YMMV. If you lost if you can find a replacement in the indian bazaar under the railway station.
In any case, a wool scarf might be warmer

HI i just got back from Helsinki from Christmas and noticed everyone was wearing bright coloured leggings-cut off at the ankle -with short denim skirts over the top-altho it was far to cold for this i thought it was only us brits that did that!
also i noticed the linen scarfs around the necks,
hats are also big-and i saw people wearing skirts over trousers too altho i dont think thats fashionable personnaly looks like coldnt decided between the two,
i noticed the girls dont really dress up so much when going out-its more smart casual-jeans with smart top is pretty much it,
HAIR- back combing is in too
