International medical insurance

Post by sarabeth624 » Mon Jan 16, 2006 4:13 pm

First off, thanks to everyone who replies to our questions!

I've been searching out different international medical insurance companies and policies but it all comes down to this: how do I know if the insurance company I go with is widely accepted by the medical centers there? Would it be best for me to call a medical facility in Finland? Does anyone have any recommendations for reliable, non-hassle, and affordable international insurance companies? Mostly, I don't want to be burned by my choice.

Thanks again,

Sara

Which country you are now ?

I guess Skandia is good one but I don't know which all countries it is there other than scandinavian region.

It is accepted here in Diacor and Mehilainen, which are found most commonly.

Sorry... I'm from the U.S.
I would go with a policy that excludes the U.S. as it is much cheaper that way. Thanks for the response! :)

If you're looking for a travel insurance, read the small print meticulously. They have clauses in there that have all kinds of limitations.
