Ruutu's tackle was actually completely clean, looked bad of course, with Jagr moving his head down in the last second and wearing a helmet made in the stone ages. In any case, I don't see us managing the Russian team which is amazingly talented and finally also working as a team. That combination will be very hard to beat.

Jebus the pub roof came off.... 2 to go. Blind judges and the Russian figureskaters really do it fast...

Could be the crunch point, that. If they were going to choke, surely it was then. Stronger teams would have buckled under that assault.

I agree. Fingers crossed. You'd think that if they were going to slip up mentally or lack confidence, that might have been the point. more work to do before they're through ....

Well, copulate with a mallard, or words to that effect. I think their goose is cooked. I think we're nearly home.

When can you last remember a team dominating which such devastating results? Truly a historic team but its not over until the fat lady sings.

All the Russian team coaches were old "Red Machine"... in the "good old days" if Moscow Dynamo didn't score they went to farm in Irkutsk Dynamo with 5 months more ice time

.. man what a game. I could not believe a 0...

CCCP. A pretty respectful comparison. Look at the goals for/against and it is similiar.
