If you can offer me an English translation that would be great, I have posted a listing asking for English details about the event. Hopefully I can get a reply before the weekend. Either way I will just show up there before 10am and hopefully meet up with the guys.
Thanks for the help
Just look for the kites

It will be happening over by the Lahti waterfront so will be easy to find.
Not sure yet but if there is no wind possibly they will be paragliding instead

I should be in the area by about 10:30-11:00

Hi guys,
A day trip next weekend works well for me too. I just spent a week in Norway and unfortunately right now I am looking for a permanent place
to stay so thats taking up most of my spare time.
Though Horse some time in the near future lets definitly do a trip Tahko!
and Horse I believe you have a car, not sure what it is. If its big enough
could I maybe talk you into taking us up. We can have a chat
tomorrow at cross country skiing.
So far there is four of us going, Horse (Dave), Olive, Jane and me.
Oliver you pretty much up for whatever transport to Himos but
would prefer a car right?

Okey Dokey,
See you at Paloheinä tomorrow. I could drive to Himos, but there's only room for 3 (inc. driver) in the Horsemobile...Lots of room for skis and boards and kit though.

No preference, however I may be able to get the use of a car, though it wouldn't be comfotable with four plus boards, skis etc........I will know more the beginning of next week. Otherwise the Himos Bus is cool for me.
There is no such thing as a weird human being. It's just that some require more understanding than others.

Ice Hurley seems to be a forerunner of ice-hockey. The game is almost totally unknown in Europe. Ireland may be an exception : Northern Gaels Hurling Club has many Irish members.
Here is a picture of the ball ( Hurley Ball ) that is used in the game:

The sight is unfortunately only in Finnish but you can ( after registration ) start a discussion on their forum (

It is all right to write in English,of course. Finnish skills are not demanded of members - most of the members ( if not all ) speak English also.
