El Mariachi Loco quiere bailar!!
Crazy Days..Hullut päivät..Galnar dagarna.
.call them what you like..are days to be elsewhere other than in Stockmanns..
.But Maippi along with just about every other Finnish Female (1000s of them) will go there to fight over what ever..
that I will have to take to the cellar when she gets it home as does not like it or it is the wrong size!

Nah. In the UK, a sale means that you reduce your prices in order to sell as much as possible. Chez Stockmann, a Crazy Day means that they're still selling at roughly the normal price. They just ship in more crap for people to choose from.shazman wrote:Are sales in Finland the same as in England? where old dears turn into savages and tear things out of each others wrinkly hands and snarl a lot????
If so count me in!
(get back here with that cashmere pullover granma!!!!) hee hee

I'm totally looking forward to going into battle for very slightly discounted merchandise
Crazy days does have pretty decent discounts in their food section. And it's a good time to pick up christmas gifts if you're an obsessive planner like me
But most of all, if you've ever been puzzled by the phrases of "shop til you drop" or "shopping is a sport" just check out the shopping during Hullut Päivät! It's got the same high level of emotions, the same drama, the same fighting towards the same goal as football or hockey, practically- except instead of burly young men battling over a little ball, it's little old ladies in hats fighting over scarves

BERLIN (Reuters) - German women fed up with their partners' grumbling on weekend shopping trips can now dump them at a special kindergarten for men offering beer and entertainment.
"The women are issued a receipt for their partners when they hand them in and can pick them up again when they return it to us later," Alexander Stein, manager of the 'Nox Bar' in the northern city of Hamburg told Reuters on Tuesday.
The men are given a name badge on arrival and for 10 euros ($11.80) they get two beers, a hot meal, televised football and games. Stein said the idea for the Saturday afternoon men's creche, or "Maennergarten," came from a female customer who thought it would be a good way of getting shot of her husband so she could shop in peace. "She found it all too stressful and thought this might be the solution. Both were very happy with the way it turned out. "Last week the men had a remote control car to play with. Next week there's going to be a mini racetrack," said Stein.
They are also offering a drilling workshop. "It beats sitting around in shoe shops, that's for sure," one man told the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper.
