hi everyone ^^;;; im new to this forums =D but its good that i was shown this place, ya see i was wondering how to become a finnish citizen? i was reading som of tha earlyer post and that i would take longer in larger cities? well my girl-friend(soon to b fiance)lives in Lohja and i was wondering if it will take long to become a resident <:3 and does anyone kno tha process of becoming a citizen? and can i have dual citizenship? i currently live in United States ^^;;; i have really no idea about finland, all i care about is being with my girl-friend, if i have to give up my american citizenship so b it >=) o btw i have no blood ties to finland xD infact im asain ^^;;;

to get residence, if not married, on family ties there is the 2-year rule
after been 5 years resident (for marriage shorter) and passing the Finnish test, one can apply for citizenship, can be dual...

thanks for tha welcom ^___^ and yea ^^;;; soon to be, well ive been thinking about when to ask and im pretty sure tha answear is yes ^______________^ and if so im rdy to spend tha rest of my life with her <3<3<3 just needa kno about how to become a resident citizen of finland ^^;;;
