Only in my dreams!

There is some hope for a European tour next year, maybe...but I don't know whether they will come to Finland. It will be the 30th anniversary of the launch of their first album after all.

In case you hadn't heard, they are releasing a live album (triple CD) and that is being followed by a double DVD of the same concert, recorded on the Vapor Trails tour last year in Brazil.

Just thought I could try to stir up some kind of enthusiasm for a local launch party, but as I am one of only two Rush fans I know so far in Finland, perhaps that's being optimistic!

For those who had to ask...you don't know what you're missing!

Rush is is a great Canadian rock band. (http://www.rush.com). They are aren't my favourite band, but I like their music.

Tragically Hip is my favourite Canadian rock band, so Rush can't have that spot. They are on my list though

Good to see this is gathering a little momentum.

The (slightly delayed) official European launch of the Rush in Rio DVD is November 24th and the triple CD will be available from October 21st.

I have to be a good boy and wait until Christmas for my copy

but I do have the last studio album (Vapor Trails) and the Spirit of Radio greatest hits album released earlier this year.

Perhaps we could try to arrange a gathering of the elite...and pray for a European tour over a couple of cold beers or something. Any suggestions? Anyone interested? If so, please suggest convenient dates and any suitable venue.

Well, I'm not holding my breath for them to show up in Helsinki... it is possible they would do a stop in Stockholm though, that would make for a fun little trip (cruise->concert->cruise) Can you say PARTY!!!
