Hi there!
I'm more into kitesurfing, but there is usually also a lot of windsurfers at the same spots, so if you are interested you can join and drag your kit along, we can all have fun in the water.....in a good clean way of course!!

I have bought many times from ebay-uk as well as germany. It's no problem, biggest risk is to trust the seller and of course if they are willing to ship to Finland. Windsurf equipment they might not unless it's a shop you buy form. Shipping big stuff is expensive!
Buying second hand stuff here is ok, just need a finn to help you translate.

As for the water. Last summer I used my 3mm suit and it was perfect. You don't need gloves/boots in summer, but hte water is cold if you for instance stay submerged(swim) for a long time. I am now getting a 5mm steamer because the summer season is so short I would suggest to rather get a steamer or if you can a 3mm wetsuit and a drysuit, then you can surf during spring/autumn as well. Already in end of August you need gloves/boots with your wetsuit!

Besides, if you get too warm in your steamer in summer, just flush it with water and you're good to go.

like you said spend long time in the water instead off on top can get too much....
I suppose how cold you get too how good you are.
As long as I can find some more kit when there, when ever i'm settled, :?:

well.....I wouldn't quite recommend a shorty. If you do take a dumping off shore the water is cold, not so cold that you will freeze, but cold enough to be uncomfortable. A fullsuit is defintely more comfy I would say.
