Take taxi to Railway station, use a luggage carrier to carry your luggage.
Use the http://www.vr.fi/heo/index.html to find your train schedule
or use this link to find the bus trasnports and prices from http://www.hel.fi/wps/portal/!ut/p/kcxm ... us+traffic
or from http://www.hel.fi/wps/portal/Helsinki_e ... /Helsinki/
and click on maps and transport and then click on
Railways and long distance bus traffic ( foudn on the right side)
Mikkeli, the city/town is 230KM from helsinki.
Here you can find the driving directions here :http://www.keltaisetsivut.fi/cgi-bin/gw ... =route.gws
put lähtöpiste as helsinki( or your address), and päätöpiste ( or your destination address)as mikkeli.
I am not sure if there is a restriction of excess baggages in trains or buses, but its always good to check. At least in VR it was here:http://www.vr.fi/heo/eng/palvelut/palvelut.htm

Check wwith your bus service for their restrictions.

In case you want to rent a car (but without a driver), the cheapest option is probably Smart Travel, http://www.smart-travel.org/enindex.htm . Don't expect anything too fancy, but a car that's working and will get you there. :)
