Re-entry Visa

Post by pandajaa » Wed Jun 07, 2006 4:45 pm

I am non-EU... I had just married with Finnish guy and got a year A resident permit last week. Since I am new here, I don't know how it should be for...

1) I am going back to my home country in the end of this month. Do i need re-entry visa?

2) I choose to use my family name instead of my husband and My passport is still valid till 2009, in this case that I was continue without amendment status ( i mean Miss to MRS. ) ........Will it be any problem when I am going to continue my 3 year resident permit next year?

I heard someone said there might be the problem if I won't use my husband surname. Anyone have the idea what will it be?

Because of I am going back to home country if I should do something to complete it?

I don't have Finnish ID card yet, since there is long queue.

Thanks for your help in advance

1) no, because you are a resident
2) not here, as you are officially yourself, but when you get a new passport how do the rules back home go?

If you get mixed papers then it'll be a problem (some paper saying Mrs Pandajaa Suominen and some other saying Mrs Pandajaa Original)

Thanks for fast reply ...
The situation is I have never change my surname.
All paper still my original because finnish law said i can choose it.
So I chose to use my original....
The only thing is Miss and Mrs...
I still have it as Miss in my passport...

And I heard from someone said there may be a problem in the future when i am going to apply 3 year resident permit if i won't use my husband surname, how does it work ?
I thought it might be any problem since they allow me to choose....
I am so confuse T,T

So do you think there is no problem even I use my original surname, right?

My surname is not sound like international but I love it....
As your country is opening to choose ;)
