i was also wondering about that. does robert's coffee have hotspots? are there any places in helsinki that actually serve a GOOD cup of coffee and have wifi access? i'd hate to have to go to Strindberg, pay 3 euros for a to-go cup, and sit outside of a Wayne's or something...

What about the promise of that retired Nokia boss -to provide the whole Esplanadi area with free wireless access- what happened to that? It was supposed to be up this summer, that would reach all the cafes in the Esplanadi area aswell.
Promises, promises.... :?:

I am also looking for free WLAN place in central Helsinki, where I could use my own laptop to connect directly. Now I am enthusiastic in trying out Mbar and Kiasma cafe. Which works better?

How about library 10?

Buildings of Helsinki University? are they also covered by free WLAN?

Eager to know the schedule promised by the ex-Nokia boss too.. :D

Parnell's Irish Bar:

That one doesn't offer it, it just happens that while in there one can catch some open wireless connection.

Then bar Stuff:

Then one more I can't remember the name of. :(

There is a free wireless LAN in (Kauppakeskus) Ruoholahti mall...

Also there's been news about TDC Song building with Maksinetti 100 new free wlan hotspots in and around Helsinki.
