The Red Cross in Helsinki is looking for volunteers to visit detainees
awaiting appeals and/or deportation. As you can imagine this is a stressful and lonely time for an asylum seeker, many of them women. A friendly face and a supportive chat can really brighten someone's day in those dark times.
The Red Cross offers training and support to it's volunteers, and we can arrange for that to be in English as well.
