BREAKING NEWS: FIFA has decided that neither team qualifies to go on and has recalled the argentinian team to face the winner of France-Brasil.

Sorry guys, this time England deserved to go on, more than Portugal. What a sh1ty game. Can't believe that Deco's absense makes for all the lack of ambition. Wish as luck.

You're right, the English penalty shootout history is grim:

- World Cup 1990 - Semi-final: Defeat against West Germany
- European Championship 1996 - Quarterfinal: Victory against Spain
- European Championship 1996 - Semi-final: Defeat against Germany
- World Cup 1998 - Quarterfinal: Defeat against Argentina
- European Championship 2004 - Quarterfinal: Defeat against Portugal
- World Cup 2006 - Quarterfinal: Defeat agaist Portugal

The Italians are now trying to get a punishment for a german player (Frings) who was involved in the aftergame dispute on friday between Argentina and Germany. Even the involved Argentinian player says he didnt feel anything, but the Italians claim the German has to be punished.

Ahh, thats Italian fairplay.

Well, at least I know now which teams I DON'T want to see in the finals: Portugal and Italy.
Here in Finland, I have done everything I can to blend-in with the Finns, I've changed my hair color, wore differnet clothes, got different

I emotionally invested in 4 teams and all went out! Crap! It's bad enough we in the Philippines have to watch the matches at 11 pm and 3 am, but to watch it at odd hours and have your team lose sucked even more. Im just happy the sport is catching on here, pubs are full and local fans are as passionate as the expats watching the games...to think our own national team didn't even join this year.

Well old Sven didnt do too bad. 20mil in the bank and England are no better than when he started. Did the man have any idea going into this torno.

Will Rooney get the same treatment that Becham got in 98? Should do, stoopid little tw*t. Although after he went, it was the best football that shower of shoit had played in germany.

Oh well.

Now dullard MClaren can bore us again for another 4 yrs

Lucky me!

Post by the_traveller77 » Mon Jul 10, 2006 12:25 pm

Before this whole tournament started, I entered a sweepstake, where all the 32 teams names were put into envelopes and then for 5 euros you could buy an envelope, put your name on it, but couldnt open it till after the final. They were all kept in my local bar back home in Malaga, and lastnight the landlady called me to tell me I had Italy...

I would of prefered England to win it, but 160Euros is a good booby prize.

This world cup has made me angry, at people like ronaldo(portugal) who is diving left and right, and provoking red cards, should give him 1 year red card to grow up!!

and darn the materazzi's out there, kick them out , kick them out!!

congrats to italy, i liked their style much more attacking than usual
