Also, I have to finish my doctoral study in England first, which will take 3 to 4 years. Who knows, myabe I and my boyfriend are no longer together by that time. But I am visiting him this September.

Yes, but Kristiina has the advantage of being a native Estonian speaker. They learn Finnish fast. And knowing Russian is needed in many companies.
is he finnish?
do not worry and do not think about negative things because thought can come true! ok? you will be together if you love eachother!

Among Finnish women who marry foreign men the highest divorce percentage is in those marriages where the man is of Middle-Eastern/Arab origin. I suppose the cultural gap is too wide.
I agree about the cultural gap. I believe that most Interracial marriages are doomed to failure especially in closed societies like in Finland.

Just out of curiosity, could you please provide the source of your statistics?

I was thinking between German and Spanish. Cause a lot of people speak Spanish, and i know it is very big advantage to know it.
Swedish is out of question, I will defenetly learn it!
Banking yes is my field, but im opened to any offers especially when im student.
Im working now as investment specialist, funds, stocks and all that kind...
I really like my job and want to make career in that field.
I am in Suomi for 6 months already and did not find a decent job. Eventhough I speak Russian, English, German, Spanish and !!! Chinese... Finnish is missing... SO i guess just concentrate on the Finnish !!!

You would better to find a job outside Finland because Finnish banks are going to be merged with other banks. Plenty of layoffs in the coming years..
There are plenty of top jobs of BF in Latin America.

Repeating myself. Osuuspankki, perhaps the second largest banking group in Finland is closing it's brach offices. 13 offices will be closed soon. Even if these offises are located countryside, it means that personnel from those offices do apply for other jobs inside the bank. But not a long time ago there was a mega merger between a Finnish insurance company Pohjola and Osuuspankki or Oko. Thus do not expect to find a job inside banking in Finland. This merger means there are hundreds and again hundreds of bank jobs that are going to get vanished when those two big companies get merged!!

I am expecting to see Nordea bank merged real soon with another bank.

hi kristiina,
If you're not looking for machos, then you should go somewhere else..
I came to finland from cuba, I think the macho factor is really high up here, anyways, it's good that the 'female' factor is also sky high..
