i live in the UK and will be moving to Finland in a few months. :D either Lahti, Espoo or Helsinki, not decided yet, but i just wanted to know, as an EU citizen can i apply for a Finnish provisional drivers licence if i havent had a licence in England? also i am a postman here, having worked in the post here would i be able to get work with posti or do i have to speak fluent Finnish? im currently learning finnish, any help would be greatly appreciated :!:

You can be from the moon, but to get a licence one needs to go to car school, shell out a few grand, and pass the tests before you get a provisional licence, then you need to shell out more money and take the slippery track, pass that test and then you'll get a licence. And motorbikes and lorries then need their own school and tests...

For post/delivery.. maybe fluent but not *that* fluent.

Driving shcool first phase is something around 1200€, second phase about 200-400€. More if you need extra lessons. :?
