Can anyone recommend any child/family friendly restaurants in the Helsinki / Espoo area? Maybe some that have a play area or that would be suitable if you have a little baby?
Thanks very much

My own are older now, but when they were small we found that most reasonably priced restaurants are happy to take kids as long as you go fairly early (ie not peak hours) or midweek when they are not so busy. We never got turned away anyway! Generally, restaurants in Helsinki are happy for the customers. Omenapuu (Finnish buffet restaurant, near the main railway stn) has a family area and play stuff. The food is ordinary but the buffet is huge and you can eat as much as you like. They are very family oriented. We found all the Asian restaurants (chinese, indian, thai etc) are happy to take kids.
