Video of the Brazilian ball boy scoring a controversial goal for his home side Santacruzense has surfaced on the internet.
The boy placed the ball in the back of the net when the opposition goalie for Sorocaba wasn't looking, before the referee strangely awarded the goal.
The video, seen on YouTube.com, shows the initial shot at goal hit the side netting, 10 seconds later the ball boy kicking the ball in the goal, referee Silvia Regina de Oliveira awarding the goal, then the Sorocaba players protesting for two minutes.
Oliveira, who has refereed in the Brazilian first division and the Copa Sudamericana, told a radio interview she based her decision on the linesman.
Marcos Marinho, head of the FPF's refereeing commission, said the goal would stand and the referee would face suspension.
