Fishing in Tampere Area

Hi All

Anyone into serious fishing in the Tampere region, id like to know if any expats are fishing in Finland as im moving to tampere (Aitoo) next April.

What are you into fishing for? Around tampere i'd guess your looking at pike as the big sport fish and perch if want something for the table. As for salmon and trout, l think there'll be stocked lakes around and otherwise it a few rapids in the south and more options the further north you travel except kotka which has a river of note. I don't live near tampere but nearer helsinki....still l'm up for a road trip if there is ther chance for some good fishing.

Well you see im a pike fisherman also perch and zander ,,,,When i get settled in Tampere next year (around April time ) ill be up for some good days out on the water ,,, maybe we can meet up. Everyones welcome
