I am very sure that hardly any Finn knows anything about those men, including me.

You seem to forget that there actually also some REAL Finns on this forum. So Finns have never heard of Linnankoski, Snellman, Lönnrot, Sibelius... Well, well.

Well what are the school books telling about the co-operation with Nazis? I quess nothing. The akward thinking is that the descendant of the Nazis still rule over the Finland!!!

Ah, we have found a Finn who has managed to avoid school!

Perhaps I was stupid enough not to learn anything usefull at our school. In my opinion they(Finnish schools) just felt like Chinese schools of today. School books were prepared or printed by one company only.
What did you learn about the Finnish Nazi time? Have you ever heard about the Mainila laukaukset? Who did really start the attack first? Russians or Finns? (this case is the case when Finns blamed Russians for shooting the Finnish territory first and givin the reason for the Finnish attack) Just correct me If I am wrong..
In my opinion we could learn more about history(Finnish history) through the years on television, radio etc. I have totally forgot what I learned at school.

I strongly believe Finns have heard about those brave men but most often they have not understood the big meaning of them. (We have just heard without understanding the content.. so to speak)
For example I do know Ronald Reagan was a b-class actor and president of the United States. I have also heard that Arnold Schwarzenegger was a movie actor and currently the governor of California. Instead I do know very little about what Ronald Reagan did under his time in office or what are the policies of Arnold Schwarzenegger?
What have the Finnish media told about them to you?

Arnold S... (what ever) didn't pardon a prisoner from death penalty, and if I remember right he has also talked something about air pollution? Also I think I've heard he's against gay marriages. Here's all I've heard from Finnish media.

I was a child when Reagan was president, and I remember that some of the Finns feared he's going to start the World War 3 with his Star Wars or something like that. I heard he had said he has seen an UFO. That's all about him I can recal.

finns aint mongoloid, they are germanics, 75% the other 25% is called east baltid by scientists, east baltids are found in the baltic states, in russia, Poland and in former preussian area and in east germany, you also find it in Sweden, Norway and denmark. East baltids have a lappoid mix, the lappoids comes from west siberia, Urals, the west side, the europoid side, also called pan asian... from there we have got some east blood in us... finns who got slenty eyes got their east baltid part as dominant.
and to say finns got their blondism from the swedes is also wrong, latest studies believe blondism comes from the baltic area, finns and lithuanians are the most blue eyed people in the world.
finns also have the highest percantage of blonde/ light hair in the world.
So if swedes gave finns the blondism, swedes ought to be more blonde, and they are not.

Our language is fenno baltic, spoken in estonia and finland, higher up on the tree, we list under fenno ugrian, ugrian being the hungarian branch!

Indeed. And if V's opinions (and degree of civility) are somehow representative of "us", then I do not want to be called a Finn anymore.

Well my gf is finnish, I live in finland, so I am a finn aslong uzbeks attack... these mongoloids from the mongoloid steppes should be banned from nordic forums...
