Hello fellow Mamas (and Daddies)
I was hoping some of you might have some experience with registering children who's first language is English into the English schools in either Helsinki or Espoo area.
We are moving to Finland this summer and since last October I have been researching the schools, the English School of Helsinki looks really nice and my kids are waitlisted (ages 4 & 6) but I can't seem to get a straight answer out of the school of how long the wait list could be ie: months or years???
The other public schools I think I need to be a resident to register, I am worried that I may need to be on a wait list for those too?
Have any of you had similar experiences??
If you have had a really great experience at a school with English as the first language I would love to hear about it.
Many Thanks
JoJo

Scorpio. I gave you the link to the daycare centres in Helsinki on the other thread and I sent you a PM. The English daycares are run privately so you have to chose the ones nearest your home and call them to make a visit and discuss the waiting lists. I suggest you contact several different places and visit them all so you have a choice.
