Discussion on the article " Lack of social capital, loneliness and depression in Tampere-
Finland: some reflection"
On Friday 10th November, a discussion about the article above will take place at the
department of social policy and social work, organized by the department of social policy
and social work, University of Tampere.
This discussion is held from 15:00 to 17:00, room 6034, 6th floor at Linna building.
A specialist in Depression will be invited to give a general view of the phenomenun of
depression in Finland.
All students of Social policy and social work, and as well international students of
Social Sciences are invited to take participate. Those students who wish to get some
credits from the discussion will have t write an essay with 2000 words (4 or 5 pages)
discussing the thematic of the article and using one of the books of the course "Health
and Wellbeing- Sytö A2a" held by teacher Suvi Raitakari, geting from it 2ECTS.
The discussion is held in English, essays may be written in English or Finnish. Do not
matter how good is your English, just come and let us learn together.
